Synergy terminal emulator includes many features that simplify work tasks:

Print any print job (Raining Data - Pick Hold Entry#) to a printer connected to the desktop PC.
Redirect the output of any text-only and laser form (text with PCL 4 commands) print job to a printer (or fax modem) connected to the desktop PC.

Convert a print job in columnar format to a Microsoft Excel spreadsheet or an HTML table for Web site publishing.
To convert to Excel format Excel must be running on the desktop PC. From there you can edit the worksheet, create formulas and 'what if' scenarios, chart the results or simply save the report in Excel format. Easily maintain web pricelists and tables by linking the Raining Data - Pick report generator to HTML file format.

Hot key between multiple simultaneous sessions.
Connect multiple sessions to a PC running Synergy. Sessions may be from the same host system or multiple hosts including remote hosts (via modem or Internet). Each session requires a separate connection to the host system. Each session can be set up with its own emulation, baud rate (connection speed), screen color, font size, etc. Hot key between hosts using the Windows menu or shortcut keys.

Connect to a host system with Telnet (or with a serial connection).
Synergy's Telnet capacity allows you to connect to a Windows server without a serial connection.

Convert a print job to a text or Microsoft Word file on the desktop PC.
Microsoft Word must be running on the PC to convert the file to Word.
Send a print job to the Microsoft Clipboard on the desktop PC. New Feature.
Instead of printing a job, just send it to the Microsoft Clipboard then paste it into any application you choose. This is especially handy for pasting information into an e-mail program.

Convert a print job to an Adobe Acrobat file on the desktop PC. New Optional Feature.
Adobe Acrobat Reader (a free program from Adobe) must be running on the PC to convert the file. This is a great way for remote users (workers calling in from home) to capture and/or print hold entry numbers locally. When PDF files are emailed, they arrive exactly as they were sent. This feature is available free for 15 days. The price for permanent activation is $50.

Utilize a mouse with most applications running on the host system.
Synergy "reads" the host screen and interprets the prompt according to predefined rules. The result is sent back to the host. Click the word "end" and the word is sent to the host as if it was typed at the keyboard.

Cut & Paste text to and from Synergy.   New Feature.
Eliminate retyping with this simple but powerful new feature. Ever wanted to incorporate comments from the Customer Master into a memo to the customer? Highlight a text in Synergy, copy it (with a mouse click or shortcut keys), and paste it into your Windows word processing application.

Want to add a line of text to order comments for several products? Copy the line from a Windows word processing application or from Synergy, go to product order comments and paste it (with a mouse click or shortcut keys) directly into Synergy.

Use calendar to enter dates.   New Feature.
Any time a date is required you can use the new DATE ENTRY feature (available from the Synergy menu bar) to activate a Windows-style calendar. Click the date of your choice (past, present or future) on the calendar and it is automatically entered where you need it. Never turn to your wall calendar again.

Easily switch between standard 80 column mode and 132 column "report" mode.
A non-intelligent terminal shows just 80 characters across but a printed page can contain up to 132 characters. See printed reports in their intended format without "wrapping" by switching to 132 column mode.

Full- featured data communications and file transfer including Raining Data - Pick to Raining Data - Pick file transfers.
Synergy supports most common communication protocols including Zmodem, Xmodem, ASCII, CompuServe B+, and more. Connect Synergy to two hosts and transfer files from one system to another.

Display images on your PC.
Built-in image viewer allows you to display, annotate, print and convert images. An optional product allows you to link your host applications to images for apparent seamless integration of images with the desktop PC.

Use the arrow keys for editing text.
Here’s a feature we know you’ll love! Use the left and right arrow keys, as well as the insert, delete, home and end keys to help you edit text in master screen fields, comment screens and more. This feature puts the editing power of a word processor into your current application.
